Reading and Reflection: 25 May

2 Corinthians 4:16-17
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”

We reflect on this reading by understanding that God continually makes us new. Every moment of every day brings a fresh beginning. As we return back to our second week of school we remind ourselves to stay grateful for our health and pray that we remain strong and united while recovering from this pandemic.

As patricians of St Patrick’s College it’s an important time to support our community while rebuilding our country for a new beginning in these new and unprecedented times. In these difficult times we remain faithful that each day will get better. Though we may face difficult times, God renews His grace in every situation we face.

Lord, we pray that as a community we continue to stay faithful towards level two guidelines and also appreciate our family and friends. We are thankful for You watching over us and pray that during times like these, it will hopefully continue to get better. Please pray over those who have lost family and jobs and bless them with hope and new beginnings. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
