Mrs Sharron Kendall-Elder

Dear Parents and Caregivers

Funeral arrangements for Mrs Sharron Kendall-Elder

Firstly thank you for the messages of sympathy on Mrs Kendall-Elder’s death. They are appreciated. We had a beautiful full school liturgy in the morning, and provided support for students and staff during the day.

It is now confirmed that Mrs Kendall-Elder’s funeral will be held in the College hall on Monday 9 July at 1pm and our College community is invited to attend. Students are to wear formal uniform. Our choir, Con Anima and our Poly Group has been asked to sing at the funeral. Our students will perform a haka in honour of Mrs Kendall-Elder as her casket is taken out of the hall at the end of the service.

The St Patrick’s College Women’s Group have been asked to provide the catering Please find details below requesting help.

We ask that you continue to keep Mrs Kendall-Elder, her family and friends in your prayers at this sad time.

EARLY FINISH ON FRIDAY
With the death of Mrs Kendall-Elder this week our staff needs a little time just to be together. As a result we have decided to compress our Taylorfest Day tomorrow and we will finish school at approximately 1.45pm. So all the Taylorfest activities will run as planned. Students need to be at school at the normal time of 8.55am and school will finish after the Inter-house singing and haka competition.
Students are going to be released home early tomorrow afternoon between approximately 1.30 to 1.45pm. There will be no GO WELLINGTON school buses however both Mana buses will operate as normal.

Kind regards

Neal Swindells

On behalf of the St Patrick’s College Women’s Group and the Angels, we were saddened to learn about the passing of a beloved teacher, Sharron Kendall-Elder today. Over these past few weeks, the St Patrick’s Angels network have supported Sharron’s family with a friendly smile and home baking. It has been a privilege for the group to have been there for her and her family through this difficult time.

Therefore, it is such an honour that we have been asked as the Women’s Group and Angels to provide the afternoon tea after Sharron’s funeral on Monday and we know so many of you want to help – it is a lovely way we can all come together to show our deep affection for Sharron and her family, at her final send off.

Sharron had made some notes of what she wanted for this event and she was very keen on having a High Tea theme with some pretty crockery, lovely finger food, and beautiful flowers.

We imagine this will be a big funeral (we are expecting over 400 people) so we need your help with this.

If you can help, we have made a signup.com link where you can sign up and assist us on making this a memorable tribute to her. Please feel free to pass this link to other members of our school community who you think might like to help in some way. Here is the sign up link: http://signup.com/go/BxVJaWD

Please bring your (labelled) crockery, vases, food or flowers to the school hall anytime from 8:30 am on Monday morning.

Thank you all.
