Her classes are being taken by Mr Nick Sye, Ms Corrie Skells and Mrs Margaret Guidera.
DATES TO DIARY FOR NEXT WEEK:
ADVANCE NOTICE: The PPTA, the Secondary Teachers union will be holding a meeting for teachers on Thursday 31 May in the afternoon at Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua. School will finish at 12.10pm that day as we cannot provide classes for students in the afternoon. If you wish us to supervise your son until 3.20pm please email email@example.com. There will be no school buses available so students will need to make their own way home. A reminder also that the College will be closed on Friday 1 June for a Wellington wide IT professional development day for teachers and also on Monday 4 June (Queen’s Birthday Monday) and Tuesday 5 June for midterm break.
MUSIC DEPARTMENT CONCERT: Thursday 31 May at 7.30pm in the College Hall. Come along to this free concert and enjoy the musical talents of our students in conjunction with St Catherine’s College.
FOUNDATION BENEFIT DINNER AND AUCTION: Saturday 30 June. Tickets are now on sale, book yours for a fantastic evening supporting a worthy cause! We have confirmed a fabulous speaker – Mike Allsop: airline pilot, Everest mountaineer and extreme marathon competitor. There’s also great food, wonderful company, and live entertainment from SPC students. Tickets are $80 per person. We’ll seat you with a group of individuals so you can make some new friends, or gather together your own table of 10. We are also looking for auction items and would be grateful for any quality item you can donate. In the past these have included bikes, vouchers for experiences such as sailing, Weta Workshop, or coffee brewing, and tickets for the events. All proceeds from the evening benefit the St Patrick’s College Wellington Foundation, and in turn solely support SPC. In 2018 to date we have provided grants for over $60,000 to the College. WOMAN’S GROUP: The St Patrick’s College Women’s Group is an informal gathering of volunteers responsible for the hospitality at the College. We support the College and its community by hosting a number of functions throughout the year. We aim to reflect a relaxed and positive attitude within the College and its community. Our group is self-funded by operating the Second-Hand Uniform shop, the profits of which go back to the College in the form of scholarships and donations. We welcome new members, and despite our name, both men and women are welcome to join! We are also currently seeking a new chairperson or co-chairpersons. This is an excellent opportunity to use your management skills to chair the meetings. If joining the Women’s Group as a new member or chairperson sounds like something you would like to be involved in, please contact our Secretary Heidi Meudt at email@example.com. The next meeting is Monday 21 May at 7.45pm in the College staff room.
