Parent Weekly Update 27 July

A reminder that Year 9 enrolments for next year close today.

We had a very enjoyable sports exchange with St Patrick’s College Silverstream on Wednesday. We won the badminton, junior and senior basketball, 1st XI football, golf, hockey, road race, and Under 15 rugby. Silverstream won the junior Football and the 1st XV rugby game. TU TANGATA: We wish our Poly Group every success as they perform this evening at the Michael Fowler Centre for Tu Tangata.

SCHOOL PRODUCTION: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat is on next week from Monday to Thursday evening at 7pm in the College hall. Tickets can be purchased from the College Cashier or from This is a wonderful musical, of a very high standard and showcases great student talent.


  • Thursday 2 August: Second Hand Uniform Shop is open at lunchtime from 1.30 to 2.30pm.
  • Friday 3 August: Students will be having a mufti day on Friday and are asked to bring a gold coin donation. The proceeds of the mufti day will be given to the Marist School in Ranong, Thailand so that they can buy equipment for their school. We will have a group of students visiting there in January and they will take materials to support the work of the Mission which helps Burmese refugees.

TERM DATES: Term 3 – Monday 23 July to Friday 28 September. Term 4 – Monday 15 October to Wednesday 12 December.

MANA COACH SERVICES TO JOHNSONVILLE, CHURTON PARK, TAWA AND PORIRUA: The changes to bus contracts in Wellington City will affect these bus routes and bus fares which will increase. Currently we are working with Mana Coach Services and will be in touch with affected families as soon as we have more details.

WOMEN’S GROUP – MOTHER SON DINNER THURSDAY 9 AUGUST AT 7PM. THERE ARE ONLY 15 TICKETS LEFT TO SELL. Tickets can be purchased from the College cashier – the cost is $30 per person. The SPC Women’s Group are requesting donations for the Mother and Son Dinner raffles and spot prizes. Anything that would delight a Mother or Son would be appreciated. Please leave items at the College office. Thanks for your help.

2018 NCEA FEE: The 2018 NCEA fee of $76.70 has now been attached to all senior and some Year 10 student’s accounts, please be advised that payment must be made by the 31st August 2018. If you have a current Community Services Card, you can fill in a Financial Assistance form available from the cashier and the cost will be reduced to $20.00.
