COMMUNITY KORERO/CHAT WITH THE RECTOR: I would like to give parents and caregivers the opportunity to meet with me, and have set aside time every Thursday commencing from Thursday 20 February between 4.30pm till 6.30pm to meet. Please be aware that there may be some evenings that I will be unavailable if there is a prior school commitment in my calendar. The 20 minute meetings have no set format – I would be interested in hearing your thoughts and opinions about our College. If you are interested in meeting, please make an appointment with my PA, Mrs Parkinson – email: email@example.com
OLD BOYS’ CUP (ST PAT’S TOWN V ST PAT’S SILVERSTREAM) ATHLETICS THURSDAY 20 FEBRUARY at NEWTOWN STADIUM: On Thursday students are to be at Newtown Park by 9am for a roll check. A second roll check will be done at the end of the day. Summer uniform must be worn. Students who are not competing will be supporting our Athletes from the grandstand. Remember to take some sunscreen. If you take a hat it would be great if it could represent our school colours i.e. blue and/or white. It would also be great if you left your schoolbag at home on this day. There will be food available for purchase at Newtown Park.
At the end of the day’s programme students will be released from Newtown Park. The day’s events should be finished by 2.30pm. Transport: Students will need to make their own way to and from Newtown Park in both the morning and afternoon. The College has organised 2 buses from the College to take students to Newtown Park at 8.45am in the morning. All other students using public transport will need to make their own way to and from Newtown Park.

McEVEDY SHIELD MEETING: St Patrick’s College hosted a meeting of the four McEvedy Colleges yesterday involving approximately 60 students and staff from each of the schools – Rongotai College, St Patrick’s College Silverstream and Wellington College. It was a very positive and affirming day which focused on team building, and developing strategies to encourage positive behaviour and support for the McEvedy athletes. The McEvedy Shield competition is to be held at Newtown Park on Tuesday 3 March.
HOMESTAYS REQUIRED: The College has a group of 13 Japanese students from Shibuya Makuhari Group this year. They are arriving on 9 March and leaving 21 March.
