NAMING RIGHTS SECURED
The draw to win the naming rights for the new SPC rowing eight was held at the College on Thursday 31 July. The winner was Mr David Williamson who has a choice of advertising or naming rights on the boat for the next two years.
The second place prize of a meat pack was won by Mr Tim Clark, while Mr Mark Fox of Plumbing World won the third place prize of a slow cooker.
The Rowing Club is delighted with the raffle which seen 400 tickets sold to generate over $17,000. This, along with a generous grant award from New Zealand Community Trust has enabled the Club to purchase the new eight outright, securing a much needed assett for the continuing development of the sport within the College.
The Rowing Club and the College would like to thank everyone who purchased tickets, and thanks also to Noel Leeming in Lyall Bay for donating the slow cooker.
