Navarra takes out top award

Our annual Sports Awards were held in our fantastic new O’Shea Performing Arts Centre on October 20, 2022.

The event was the culmination of all the hard work our students, coaches and volunteers had put on over the year.

The evening prepared by Sport’s Director Jonathan Millmow and assisted by Ms Yvonne Small was superbly presented by former Old Boy Daniel McHardy.

Year 12 student Samuel Navarra was crowned Sportsman of the Year. Sam is the No 1 ranked U19 badminton player in New Zealand. A highlight to the night was when McHardy invited Navarra’s Mum and young sister to the stage.

Our other big winners on the night were All-rounder of the Year (3 sports): Noah-Sea Nui, Junior Sportsman of the Year: Eamonn McCarron (Football), Team of the Year: 1st XV Rugby side, Coach of the Year: Ross Bond (1st XV Rugby), Student official: Lucas Joyce (Basketball referee), Volunteer of the Year: Cara Mansfield (Underwater Hockey) and Administrator of the Year: Kieron McCarron (Rugby chairman).

We would also like to congratulate all our nominees and individual team winners.
