Ministry Support Services

As a College in the Marist tradition, we are lucky to have an established Ministry Team available to support students, staff and whanua.

Alongside Mass that takes place regularly in our Chapel on Thursday mornings, students are able to experience retreats and reflections.

Learning Support Services

Our Learning Support Department provides assistance for students in mainstream classes. This support ranges from teacher aide guidance in classes, reader/writer assistance for senior assessments and monitoring of numeracy and literacy needs.

Learning needs are identified by way of testing in Year 8, feedback from contributing schools, teacher and parent observations and professional assessments provided by parents.

To ensure the best start for your son at St Patrick’s College please complete the SAC History form provided in the Enrolment Pack if you know he has a diagnosed learning difficulty.

Special Assessment Conditions (SACs)

Special Assessment Conditions may be given for students with recognised learning difficulties, physical disabilities, sight or hearing impairment, or a medical condition. To be eligible for SACs, data to support the application is needed from a registered assessor and from school-based evidence.

Careers Services

Our dedicated careers staff can provide tailored opportunities and experiences that encourage students to make the best choice for them, and their future career pathways.

Parents and students are welcome to speak with Mr Mike Woods and his team about;

  • A one on one interview, to figure out where you're heading
  • Support with a job interview, CV and general information
  • Meeting people in the industry and real time working experience
