St Pat’s Eyes 21st win at 100th McEvedy
The 100th McEvedy Shield athletics competition will be held at Newtown Park on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, and we are eyeing the possibility of making it our 21st win.
Our athletics teams at St Pat’s Town have won the shield 20 times in its 99-year history. This McEvedy competition will be the 100th event.
It has been held every year since 1922 apart from 1948, when it was cancelled due to a polio epidemic, and 2021, when it was cancelled because of Covid-19.
