The Blue Messengers Jazz it up

Congratulations to Year 12 students Abilio Fernandes, Lorenzo De Maio and Zach Breen who have been selected to play in the Wellington All Stars Youth Big Band 2026.

This is an auditioned Jazz Big Band made up of a slick group of young high school musos applying their craft and performing at a high level among their high school musio peers in the Wellington region.

Their first performance will be held at the Music Works Ensemble Festival Aotearoa 2026 (MEFA 2026) closing gala concert, at Wellington College on the 25 September, 5:00 - 6:00pm. This concert performance is open to all, so please come and support them.

The band is also scheduled to perform in the Wellington International Jazz Festival 2026, on the 18 October, 3:00 - 4:30pm at the Seatoun Bowling Club.

St Patrick's College "The Blue Messengers" Jazz band will be performing at the MEFA 2026 combo jazz band competition on Thursday 24 September at 4:00pm at Wellington College.
